The Port of Marsamxett lies between Tigne Point and the North West side of the city of Valletta and is primarily a port dedicated for leisure boats.
There are alongside berths on the quay on the North East side by the old Quarantine Hospital. Further West on the opposite side of the inlet, small vessels and yachts berth stern to the quays. There are numerous submerged moorings and before selecting a berth, the Authority should be consulted.
The Authority manages the Msida Marina which is situated in the innermost part of Marsamxett Harbour. Berthing is provided on 15 lines of floating pontoons, providing 700 berths up to 18 metres in length on double mooring lines.
Manoel Island has an established yacht centre which is operated by MIDI plc. A 400-berth yacht marina is part of Manoel Island’s re-development.
